Wedding Weekend: The Parker Palm Springs
Wedding Weekend: The Parker Palm Springs
Designed for my own wedding, as both client and creative director: a wedding weekend at the Parker Palm Springs, built from a 74-page creative and production deck. The palette of ivory, sand, clay and espresso was layered with matte ceramics, stone, smoky glass and chrome, then softened with candlelight, so the rooms felt collected rather than decorated. Each space had its own job. The ceremony took place on the croquet lawn under a birch chuppah draped in gold jacquard organza, with wild grasses and branches lining the aisle. Cocktail hour centered on a 16-foot bar and an ombré escort-card display set into moss. Dinner for 75 unfolded on the ballroom lawn in walnut velvet, with table sections named Citrus, Fig, Olive, Honey, Smoke and Cedar. The night closed in a dessert lounge in the ballroom lobby, planned to scale with a floor plan, a curved bar and brown velvet drapery. From room gifts for 40 guest rooms to custom matches and menus, every piece came from one visual system.
